About Vietnam

Vietnam is a republic in mainland South-East Asia. Hanoi is the capital; Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city and the commercial centre. About 100 million people live here. It borders China, Laos and Cambodia, with a long coast on the South China Sea. Vietnamese is the official language. The currency is the dong (VND).

Vietnam is a member of ASEAN and a major manufacturing and export economy, with a large domestic market and substantial foreign-invested enterprise activity. Hanoi is the seat of government; Ho Chi Minh City is the principal commercial city. English is used in international business in both. Foreign investment is licensed first, then the company is registered. This is an in-person operating jurisdiction.

Brikseka forms foreign-invested companies in Vietnam. The usual vehicle is a limited liability company. Formation runs in two steps: an Investment Registration Certificate, then an Enterprise Registration Certificate. A visit is required. A local director is required. Timeframes typically run from four to twelve weeks once the investment file is complete.

We then advise on a Vietnamese business bank account and on local processors such as Payoo and VNPay. Stripe is not available as a merchant country for Vietnam. Banks work in person. Approvals are decided by the providers. If your aim is to live in Vietnam, company formation is not a residence permit — that is a separate immigration file, which we also advise on.

How we work

From briefing to a registered company

  1. Briefing

We review your business, the right entity for this country, costs, and whether a visit is likely.

  2. Company formation

Local counsel, notary where required, and the commercial register. We coordinate the documents through to a registered company.

  3. Banking and payments

After the company exists, we prepare applications for a business account and payment gateways.

  4. After incorporation

Statutory records, a named contact, and introductions to accounting so the company can operate.

Business immigration

Forming a company in Vietnam does not grant the right to live there. If you intend to relocate, we also advise on Vietnam business immigration — including DT1–DT3 investor visa leading to TRC. Requirements, capital, and processing times are confirmed before any engagement.
